it is now down to where it was when president obama took office. that is certainly welcome news coming off what is universally regarded his poor debate performance wednesday night. the president had two rallies in two swing states, virginia and ohio. he welcomed the news while at the same time warning against using -- he didn't mention any names, his political opponents using the economy as a political weapon. mitt romney for his part at another separate rally in virginia said don't be deceived by these numbers. they don't reflect the number of people who actually have quit the work force and have given up looking for work. in reality, that number has gone down, too. the so called real unemployment rate now at 14.7%. one more thing. mitt romney in a conservative television interview went and disavowed that infamous comment that he made that has cost him so much politically, that 47% of americans he called victims, said they would never vote for him. he said he was flat-out wrong to make that comment. >> mike, thank you. we asked joe scarborough fro

obama cares about. he is now mayor of chicago and then of course there was a 2010 election and then president obama had a different circumstance. so it may be that actually you get a new start if he wins in a way. it's to know what the congressional sobey, but i assume he'll narrow the margin of the house and have a real chance to govern. so it might be in terms of president obama, my normal instinct, we know what to look like in 2013 as president, i am not so sure that is the case. there could be as white house officials, chief of staff and the like. and governor romney -- i think it's a little more? than i normally would be for an incumbent president. and for governor romney, you know, he's an experienced man and present income is a thin resume for a presidential candidate in the sense that he is a one term governor and in a typical state, where he had no -- almost no supporters in the legislator, didn't run on much of an agenda to change things in massachusetts. took over from republican governors. i

obama, the obama campaign was running ads on that. how romney wants to cut the taxes as romney explained very clearly in the debate the other night, no, i am not cutting taxes on the richest. what i want to do is lower rates overall by 20%. and eliminate loopholes, deductions, exemptions, that sort of thing. which i think all serious people who look at the tax code think needs to be done. it's the richest of all by the way who take the most advantage of tax deductions. that is a fairer way of looking at t maybe if you have a lot of deductions you don't want to get rid of them. but you always feel like with reductions, somebody else is getting a better deal than you are. mitt romney hasn't specified which deductions. i can think of a few we should get rid of like deductions for state and local taxes. why should the rest of the country be supporting the high tax rates of california and new york? but anyway, that's my position, not mitt romney's and he also explained in the debate, this is my general proposal. we'll argue about it. we'll
